We hopped over to the rail corridor to catch a glimpse of the glow-in-the-dark section that was recently opened to public! Our trail began from the entrance near The Rail Mall, along the popular overhead track that stretched across Upper Bukit Timah Road (if you are not sure where, here’s a good map!). The rusting track and metal bridge created an antique and serene atmosphere. Tranquility surrounding the track was rarely broken except for occasional joggers and bikers who exercised along the corridor and people eager to pose along the defunct track.

We headed north and began trekking for about 30 minutes along the rail corridor. Along the way we were greeted by swarms of sandflies in our bun faces, and a human bean who emerged suddenly from before our eyes and passed by so quickly that we barely saw him. (Bun Girl is still half-suspecting that he may be supernatural.) Just as we were starting to feel scared that we are on the field in darkness, we neared our destination – a test stretch behind Bukit Panjang LRT. Lo and behold how beautiful the ground glowed pale green like stars! Haha, but Bun Girl wasn’t the most impressed as the minerals did not glow as brightly as we thought it would.

Remember to bring your phones with you when you come! Using our phones’ flashlights , we doodled this eerie bun face on the ground. 😛 (Disclaimer: We may look like lost souls illuminating the ground with our flashlights, but all we were doing was to give the little minerals a little more energy to glow! It didn’t take long before everyone around us started doing the same thing :))

Ending the post with Bun Girl’s quick doodle – of her interest which lasted less than 5 minutes, and how I was so focused on taking shots of these fallen stars on the ground.
