Staying at home this COVID-19 period sounded good at first with the thought of sleeping in, not having to spend time on commuting… especially on lazy days. However, being stuck in the same space (I spend about 18 hours a day at the coffee table in the living room) and the limited freedom to go places started to bring me down.

This is the perfect time to take in more art projects while balancing a full-time job, but I just couldn’t help it. Being separated from my silly friends and inspiration that usually comes from my outdoor trips was challenging for the creative soul within.

So I took 2 months break while attempting to build a ladder out of this ‘down’ time by trying my hands on other crafts. Eventually I was reminded of my motivation behind making art and ready to get back to work. 🙂 Here’s a sketch of my ‘ladder building’ story.

End of story :(
(ok, kidding)
A wise lennon once said. If it's not okay. its not the end. So maybe I shall start... somewhere. (hmm, but I'm not sure where)
what shall i make? my favourite kimchi soup. tea cakes for tea time. a felt toy.
ahhhhhhh. hello cutie! i made you. finally i made an ombre rainboy that brings me joy.
joy reminded me of the motivation behind my art. i wanted to bring joy to the world. and in the process, feel alive with joy.
