Last Sunday, one of my best friends and my one and only Pinky friend got married, and she is now enjoying her honeymoon on beach paradise! 🙂

So, a few months back, Pinky broke the good news to us that she is getting married in October, and I told her immediately that I would like to do her wedding designs and help her realise the wedding look she was going for. I remember how, during our younger years, we would daydream and talk about the ideal wedding we want, i.e. really princessy ideas which are definitely no-nos now. Being a trendy lady in 2017, Pinky decided to go for a wedding with simple rustic charm.

As part of the prep, Pinky showed me her wedding mood board, the color palette she was going for, and the decoration pieces available at the wedding venue.  We decided on a simple floral watercolours with fresh vibrant colours, accompanied with white floral print on Kraft envelopes. For the latter, I carved a floral rubber stamp and block-printed each envelope. I also hand-painted florals for her guestbook so that all the wedding designs are consistently floral. Handmade is the best, especially for rustic feels! 😀

The night before the wedding, the Bun Boy and I did our first ever chalkboard design (a huge one!) which we can’t be more proud off, especially with a major issue when the restaurant/brewery told us last minute that they can only lend us the board about 2-3 hours before closing. The last time we used chalk was in primary/secondary school and even then we definitely did not use the chalk for calligraphy or floral drawings. So, we can’t be more grateful for the few YouTube videos we watched. 😂

Once again, congrats Pinky and Amardeep on your wedding!! 🙂

xoxo
